Meet the Gern Zehel Team
We’re a two-woman show working out of the First Weber-Middleton office.
And no, we actually aren’t related!
If we go all the way back, our team’s origin story begins with a high school lifeguarding class.
It was in the pool of Memorial High School where Hannah Gern, Yvonne’s daughter, befriended Julia in 2008. Their friendship remained strong past high school, and eventually, Yvonne and Julia became friends, too.
In 2018, the opportunity to bring in a partner came along and it did not take much arm-twisting to get Julia to join.
Today, they work in tandem to deliver seamless service, straightforward project management, and a healthy dose of fun to every buyer and seller.
About Yvonne Gern
Yvonne Gern has been living in Madison for 30 years. A married mother of three adult children and new grandmother to four grandchildren, Yvonne is dedicated to community service and is an active Advent Lutheran art task volunteer.

About Julia Zehel
Julia is a life-long Madisonian who uses her in-depth knowledge of the city to match people to their perfect neighborhood. Before becoming a Realtor, Julia spent years working in marketing at a health tech startup on the east side of Madison.
Along with being a realtor, Julia is a yoga teacher at Dragonfly Hot Yoga, a special yoga community that she’s been part of for over a decade. She lives on the west side of Madison with her husband George and two cats, Doja and Little Bear.
